In 2015 the United Nations laid out its plan for a more sustainable future globally, comprising 17 intersecting sustainability goals to be achieved by the year 2030, including: (1) No Poverty, (2) Zero Hunger, (3) Good Health and Well-being, (4) Quality Education, (5) Gender Equality, (6) Clean Water and Sanitation, (7) Affordable and Clean Energy, (8) Decent Work and Economic Growth, (9) Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, (10) Reduced Inequality, (11) Sustainable Cities and Communities, (12) Responsible Consumption and Production, (13) Climate Action, (14) Life Below Water, (15) Life On Land, (16) Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, (17) Partnerships for the Goals.
Especially in regards to target 3.4, which states “By 2030, reduce by one-third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being,” SMOOD vaporizers, which serve as an effective harm-reduction tool, can help users find safer alternatives to the harmful side-effects of tobacco and combustion cigarettes and even give up smoking entirely.
Furthermore, SMOOD is working with state-of-the-art recycling facilities to optimize the recyclability of our devices. Currently we are using the cleanest battery recycling technology known as hydro-to-cathode processing which is 93% cleaner than other battery recycling technologies and helps to mitigate the harmful societal and environmental impact associated with mining by repurposing rare elements back into new batteries.
SMOOD vaporizers are designed, handled, and disposed of with the SDGs in mind, doing their part to minimize the environmental and social impact of smoking and vaping.
